Fitting instructions for the XValve complete garden tap and garden tap handle mechanism.

Complete garden tap fitting instructions

Model: XV7-C0001

  1. Turn off water to the premises at the meter.
  2. Remove old garden tap.
  3. Wrap the thread around at least 3 times using thread seal tape. Screw on the XValve Garden Tap.
  4. Turn on the water supply.

Garden tap handle mechanism fitting instructions

Model: XV7-T0001

  1. Turn off water to the premises at the meter.
  2. Remove the top button from the handle with a small screwdriver and undo the Phillips head screw. Take off the green handle.
  3. Using a spanner, remove the old hose tap spindle head from the body.
  4. Making sure the bottom red washer is in place, install the new XValve spindle assembly by screwing it into the body.
  5. Using adjustable spanner on the brass flat spots, tighten the XValve.
  6. Using the spanner, tighten down the lock nut. Turn on the water to make sure there are no leaks at the base of the large red body washer. Tighten the spindle if it is leaking.
  7. Replace the green handle and tighten the Phillips head screw into the spindle.
  8. Replace handle button by pushing it until it snaps in place.
