Replacing a spindle or replacing more of the tapware?
An individual spindle is a different purchase from a top assembly or a complete basin set. The correct choice depends on which parts your existing installation can retain and which parts need replacing.
- Individual spindle: compare the basin and wall models above when the work calls for a spindle replacement.
- Basin top assemblies: the Easy Glide and Axis ranges each have separate top-assembly listings and versions described as including an outlet. Confirm the full pack contents for the chosen code.
- Complete basin set: the Easy Glide XV3-100C and Axis XV4-100C listings explicitly include under-basin bodies and a tee.
- Wall top assemblies: compare the Easy Glide pair and Axis wall conversion pair when more than an individual spindle is required.
Information that helps confirm compatibility
Before buying, collect the tap’s make or model if known, a clear photo, the intended basin or wall application, and any measurements requested by your installer or XValve. The original fitting diagram can help identify the components, but it is not a compatibility list for every tap brand.
For suitable existing tapware, a compatible XValve spindle provides easy-turn operation while retaining the rest of the fitting. Have suitability confirmed before relying on that option for your particular tap.
Replacing a spindle in a dripping tap
Start by identifying why the tap is leaking. Replacing a traditional tap washer and converting to an XValve spindle are different jobs. A replacement spindle should be selected only after the existing tap body and seat have been checked for suitability.
If the fitting is damaged or cannot be identified, ask for advice before ordering. Product selection cannot by itself establish the condition of the existing plumbing.

Are the individual spindles sold as a pair?
No. XV1-102H and XV1-104H are listed individually. Confirm the number your installation needs. The separately listed wall top-assembly pairs are different products.
Can I choose by the handle style alone?
No. The hidden fitting and connection details matter as well as the visible handle. Confirm that the spindle matches the existing tap body and handle arrangement.
